  1. Well, I'm a little late, had to go to the bathroom. Great article, it makes me even more exited for the 3.0 release.
  2. ANTHEM? What do you think?

I'm exited, it looks amazing. I actually liked Andromeda (and Inquisition) even at the level of quality it had, so from what I've seen from this, I'm interested. And remember folks, we have not really seen anything yet. Don't make a decision yet on how you love or hate this game. The only thing we've seen is a bit of gameplay and what the graphic hopefully looks like. The story might actually be incredible, or just dirt, wait and see.
  3. Star Trek Bridge Crew

Bought it, going to try it today.
  4. track IR alternative

From one idiot to another, good luck, we believe in you.
  5. Star Trek Bridge Crew

Well I can always hope for the best.
  6. Star Trek Bridge Crew

As I already have a 4k headset I think the tech is there, they just have to invest in it. Right now the focus seems to be freedom, having a PC on your back letting you walk around without having to worry about cords. You also have to remember that you will need a really good PC if you want to play games in 4k, 90Hz in VR. The headset I have right now is only 60Hz which actually isn't that bad, I clearly notice a difference between my Rift and the Pimax (4k China headset) when it comes to FPS and how smooth it is but 60Hz is still fine, I've had no problem with it. If the big players (Oculus and HTC) decide to use a 4k 60Hz screen and keep the way you can move around with their products I think they will have a really good product on the market in a year or two. We might see something new at E3 next month, really looking forward to it. Good to hear! As I already bought it I'll see you on the bridge.
  7. a delta throttle stick

The way you can smoothly control the ship in all directions is incredible. If CIG is still working on a SC HOTAS setup, they should really take a few notes from this build.
  8. track IR alternative

What kind of integration are you working on? I'm intrigued.
  9. Star Trek Bridge Crew

Oh yes it's expensive but all new tech is and this is the first generation, if we want a second gen then we have to support the current one so that the developers keep improving and making it more mainstream. So if you like the idea of VR, support this gen by buying it (if you can afford it of course) so that they can lower the price and raise the quality. I do have a China made 4k headset and the resolution is fantastic even though it only supports 2k res at the moment. The problem is there's no sensors for moving your head except turning it. But with this I've seen how good vr can get when it comes to image quality. I giggle every time I take a seat in a cockpit in DCS because of the realistic feel to it.
  10. Well hello there fellow members! I just wanted to make you all aware of this VR title. VR has not had any real games that I've been interested in until now and that is why I've been holding back on buying a Rift. Now that this game is coming out I finally felt that it was time. Star Trek Bridge Crew places you in one of four roles, Captain, Helm, Tactical and Engineer. This does not only look like a really fun game to play but also a really good game for us members to play together as a crew with specific roles. The only real negative, and positive part at the same time is the fact that it's a vr game, so of course it's only for those in possession of a Rift or Vive headset and controllers. The game is released on may 30. On Steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/527100/Star_Trek_Bridge_Crew/
  11. I'm getting one! Don't know when but I will own a 1080ti even if I have to sell my neighbours kids. I wonder what people pay for noisy kids these days?
  12. Building a simpit

The problem with not changing anything is all too real. I bought an adaptor for my racing pedals which would give me the choice of using them as racing pedals or rudder pedals with the flick of a switch but uhm, it did not work the way I wanted it to. That means I have to be able to switch between the two units and doing it in an easy way. The design is getting reworked in my head right now and my economy does not allow a larger deposit right now anyway.
  13. Building a simpit

This is awesome! I'm drawing my plans for something similar myself at the moment. I'm going to try and make it so that I don't have to change anything going from flying to racing to fps, or at least the smallest changes possible. Really cool build, hope it will serve you well!
  14. Osiris: New Dawn

Is your Steam name Ridge Lock?
  15. I KNOW it's going to be great.
