  10. Thanks Eboham, I think i will get this build and order parts over the next two months. Leaving the high dollar parts last in case they drop in price. $499.99 Intel Haswell-E Core i7-5930K LGA2011-3 Processor MicroCenter$119.79Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower CaseMicroCenter$89.99 Cooler Master Nepton 120XL 76.0 CFM Liquid CPU CoolerSuperBiiz$299.99Crucial M500 960GB 2.5" Solid State DriveMacMall$64.99EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supplyncix US$27.99Cooler Master CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle Wired Gaming Keyboard w/Optical Mousencix US$38.95 Pioneer BDC-207DBK Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD WriterAmazon$100.00 Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32/64-bit)Outlet PC$192.98ASRock X99 EXTREME4 LGA2011-v3/ Intel X99/ DDR4/ Quad CrossFireX & Quad SLI/ SATA3&USB3.0/ M.2/ A&GbE/ ATX Motherboard ASRock X99 EXTREME4 LGA2011-v3/ Intel X99/ DDR4/ Quad CrossFireX & Quad SLI/ SATA3&USB3.0/ M.2/ A&GbE/ ATX Motherboardnewegg$149.99Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memorynewegg$545.00EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card (2-Way SLI)newegg$545.00EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card (2-Way SLI)newegg$68.98Asus Xonar DX 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Cardnewegg$2,743.64
  11. Thanks, I don't really have a price range, i just didn't want to spend a butt load of money ( i guess that is dependent on what one considers a butt load). No more than $3000 USD is fine with me which is why i looked at the dual video 51-R2 . I can build it with the same components for almost the same price as the Area 51 box but why build if i don't have to? This is the same reason I bought my Alienware laptop 4yrs ago. I didn't want to be pushed out of the games by new technology. Little did i know of the hardwired GPU issue that Dell and the Motherboard have.
  12. https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk build that you provided is that in GBP? If so that is roughly $3991.19 USD I took roughly the same build and ran it through http://www.portatech.com/products/category.cshtml?id=1239 Barebones w/ Intel Core i7 (Socket 2011-3) w/ Core i7 5930K (6 x 3.7GHz CPU-15MB Cache) ASRock X99 Extreme4 XL Liquid Cooling Package 16GB DDR4 (2x8GB Kit) KINGSTON 250GB SATA3 Solid State Drive (SSD) 2TB SATA3 - 6gb/sec 7200RPM (64MB Cache) Hard Drive Standard Value Mid-Tower Case 900W Power Supply w/ Active PFC Windows 8.1 12x Blu-Ray Combo Drive 2x nVidia GeForce GTX980 4GB Standard - Build, Burn-in, Test & Ship Out in Approx 3 to 5 Business Days 1 Year Manufacturers Repair / Replacement Warranty $2884.97 (USD) So the sites i tried, www.newegg.com www.pricewatch.com and the Alienware refurb seems to be on par with the others the only question would be the cooling.
  13. Currently I have the following which I can no longer play SC on because of Cryengine 3 update So I don't know /think I can upgrade my laptop to fix that problem (Dell says can't upgrade the GPU because it uses the onboard Intel 3k piece of cr*p even though I have the AMD 6990 in it. I would prefer not to pay a ton of money for a new system and the Dell Refurbs are a really good deal. Case: AlienWare (Dell) M17xR3 103C_5335KV PSU: No idea.
