Hola!
Going off-course is 100% intended. As a pilot, you are in a free space and you can take as many shortcuts as you deem worthy. As you pointed out, tt takes many hours of practice to squeeze through the gaps in the building flawlessly, and as such improves your piloting abilities :) This after-all is the main reason for AC.
DOn't get me wrong; If there is enough people to get together for this then go crazy, but unfortunately the leaderboards don't take this into account :)

Great work!

If you're open to feedback:
On some of your slower rings you could gain some tenths by turning before the ring itself.
Checkpoint 2: start turning much sooner. Like you did on for turn 3. (Aim for the left side of the ring and turn before the ring so that when your ship passes through the ring you will be almost sideways.)
Checkpoint 4: Stay tighter down. For the ring itself you were perfect but you stayed a little high up.
Checkpoint 6 to 7: After CP6 turn hard and point at the sky just above the building in front of CP7
Checkpoint 8: a little tighter on the ring itself.
