Stress test this Friday (April 17 2015)

Recommended Posts

CIG wants to have a stress test this Friday, post is below.

Hi all,

We're going to be having a short, one hour concurrency test tomorrow to analyze efficiency and impact of our latest round of hotfixes. We're cautiously confident in early results of our Kicked Back To Lobby hotfix but obviously need to see how this all holds up during high concurrency.

So, if you are free tomorrow and want to contribute an hour to our testing efforts, come hop in game tomorrow Friday April 17!

- 2pm PDT (West Coast USA)
- 4pm CDT (Texas time... y'all)
- 5pm EDT (East Coast USA)
- 10pm BST (UK time)
- 11pm CET (Germany time)

We realize this is late for our EU players but we're wanting to get as wide a range of time zones with developers still at work here in the States.

QA, DevOps, and Game Support will be in General Chat answering questions about the hotfix, as well as jumping in the game to test along with you!

In terms of status of the three major items in 1.1.1 multiplayer Spectrum Matches today:

- Black Screen in Lobby: Fixed.
- Infinite Load Screen: Investigated and repro'd but causes identified. The nature of the fixes warrants additional discussions internally on how to fix this long term, so we will update you further on this.
- Kicked Back To Lobby: Hotfix published yesterday.

Please post in this thread if you continue to encounter errors as your feedback is crucial. :)

Thanks everyone for your help. Have a great Thursday and see you in-game tomorrow!

-JM and WL

I'm going to try 5pm EDT (East Coast USA). tomorrow some friends are visiting me and probably I will be very not flying capable from 8PM gmt -3 AKA very drunk. I"m making the burgers right now with this recipe:

1 teaspoon mustard (regular or Dijon)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely grated
1 clove garlic, minced
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
1 lb medium ground beef
1 tablespoon creamy caesar salad dressing or 1 tablespoon Greek salad dressing
1 tablespoon chopped sun-dried tomato
1 tablespoon sour cream or 1 tablespoon yoghurt
1 tablespoon grated fresh lemon rind or 1 tablespoon lime rind
1 tablespoon grated gingerroot
1 tablespoon ketchup or 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano or 1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 tablespoon fresh herb
2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon teriyaki sauce or 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
1 fresh jalapenos or 1 pickled jalapeno pepper, chopped

Lightly oil grill& heat BBQ to medium.
Whisk egg in a bowl& add next 6 ingredients.
Add any of the “stir-ins” that appeal to you.
Crumble in beef& using your hands or a fork, gently mix together.
Handle the meat as little as possible – the more you work it, the tougher it gets.
Gently shape (don’t firmly press) mixture into burgers about ¾ inch thick.
Using your thumb, make a shallow depression in the centre of each burger to prevent puffing up during cooking.
Place burgers on the grill, close lid& BBQ until NO LONGER PINK INSIDE, turning once, about 6 – 8 minutes per side.
An instant read thermometer should read 160F.
Don't abuse your burgers by pressing with a spatula, pricking with a fork or turning frequently as precious juices will be lost!
Tuck into a warm crusty bun & add your favourite toppings.
