From an economic point of view this will allow the potential to dial down settings for more economic use and reduce running costs, while still offering overclock should the need arise.It should also allow stealth ships to become even harder to spot. Very interesting and also useful. I think a lot of people are going to see serious difference with non Military ships. Especially when it comes to entering and exiting an atmosphere. Once fuel costs start being figured in, the incentive to use as little as possible will become more important. Also aerodynamic ships will be easier to fly. On top of that flying bricks are going to need a lot more careful handling.
