Radeon VII

Recommended Posts

Du you guy`s think that Star Citizen will run better with 16GB VRAM, or it is wasted and better to take a gfx with only 8GB VRAM?

I am looking to upgrade soon and dont really need Ray Tracing, think it might be good in 3000 or 4000 serie but not now.

Got a new screen (LG 27UD58P-B) so now it time to start looking at a new gfx

Then the big questions, if is it can match the RTX 2080 get one now or wait for navi with could end as a midrange card or it could be fast as a 2080ti or surpass it.

And Nvidia could come out with the 11xx serie

Not the best time to look at new cards :)

I just move from 4k to 2k you will need a 2080ti in 4k to get 60fps in most games.

2080Ti is too expensive  for me here in Denmark

The price is between 1460 and 1870 USD

But 2K is fine, a good upgrade from 1080

Just ordered a Sapphire NITRO+ RX Vega64

The prize is good on it, around 300 USD less than the cheapest RTX 2080

And if I stay at 2k for now it should be fine for that,.

Maybe in a few years there will be a card, at a good price that can handle 4k

With 25% tax everything is expensive here

Nice, you will have to report in and let us know how you get on with FPS.

Yea at the moment i dont think we will be able to choose between if you should go with the radeon VII or 2080.

Im also going to upgrade just waiting for proper benchmarks to release since i also dont need ray tracking and dont whant to spend x2 the amount for a feature im not going to use.

But yea the leaked benchmark of the radeon VII is not a good guide to go on to see how it performers agains the 2080 since we dont know if the card was overclocked or not and the drivers could still need to be optimized.

Im also hoping nvidea will bring out new high end cards with out ray tracking thats not $1400, but if thy are taking to long im will swith to an amb build for the first time in my life.
